Calhoun Detention Center Releases
The Calhoun County Adult Detention Center is the principal local custody source and is operated by the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office. A person may leave after bond, completion of a short county sentence, a court order, transfer, or another documented reason. The individual released detail is the affirmative local evidence. Disappearance from Current mode by itself proves nothing.
A street or bond release ends county confinement. A transfer does not. When the detail names or implies a receiving custodian, continue with that system. TDCJ handles state imprisonment, USMS handles federal pretrial movement, BOP handles federal sentenced custody, and ICE handles civil immigration custody. None is another version of the Calhoun jail roster.
Confirm Calhoun Detention Releases
Begin at the official facility page. Its inmate-list link establishes the provenance of the application hosted at a numeric address. The direct Released search permits name, charge, and number-of-days searches.
- Open the official facility page and follow the inmate-list link.
- Switch from Current to Released.
- Search by name, or enter one or three in the day field for a recent window.
- Open the matching released detail and compare the identity and booking episode.
- Record release date and time, How Released, Release Reason, confining agency, and docket.
- If the event is a transfer, verify the receiving agency’s custody record.
The broader Calhoun County search and records path appears on the released inmates home page. Notification systems can alert to an event, but the released detail or a responsive agency record supplies the stronger proof.
Calhoun Release Record Fields
The released grid shows Full Name, Age, Race, Sex, Admit Date, Release Date, and Time In Jail. The detail adds Name ID, physical identifiers, admit and release times, confining agency, How Released, and Release Reason. Its charge grid adds Charge, Offense Date, Court Type, Docket Number, Bond, Charging Agency, and Arresting Agency.
| Field group | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Admit and release timestamps | Fix the local custody episode. |
| How Released | Describes the route out of county custody. |
| Release Reason | Reports the operational basis. |
| Confining agency | Identifies who owned the release record. |
| Arresting and charging agencies | Separate city police involvement from jail custody. |
| Docket and court type | Lead to the lasting court case. |
“Release to street” and “To Bond” appeared as separate, neutral values during research. Do not translate either into dismissal or acquittal. The court record decides the case outcome.
Calhoun Detention Contact Records
The facility contact is the correct starting point when the live record is missing or ambiguous. Ask where a written Texas Public Information Act request should be accepted before sending sensitive identifiers.

The Sheriff’s Office is at 211 S. Ann Street, Port Lavaca, TX 77979, phone 361-553-4646 and fax 361-553-4668. Request a defined booking/release sheet rather than every record about a person. Include the full name, approximate dates, and Name ID, booking number, or docket when known. Ask for release date and time, release type or reason, receiving agency if transferred, and the booking image only when needed.
Texas Government Code Section 552.221 requires prompt production in a reasonable time. It does not promise delivery within ten business days. Charges follow PIA cost rules, and no verified fee for this exact release record was found.
Calhoun Released Detail Image
The official released roster opens individual details with a MugShot thumbnail and release fields. A redacted capture preserves the interface without publishing an identified person’s record.

The image can help resolve identity. The release date, time, method, reason, and agency fields are what confirm the custody event.
Calhoun Court Record Follow-Up
The jail record and court record serve different jobs. Use the docket number in the Calhoun Tyler portal. County Court at Law or the County Clerk handles misdemeanor matters; the District Clerk handles felonies. Review bond orders, dismissal, plea, judgment, sentence, time credit, probation, revocation, and discharge rather than inferring a disposition from the release label.
If only part of a name is known, County Court at Law instructions say to append an asterisk and search Last Name, First Name. A case can remain open after bond. Time served can end confinement while other duties remain. A transfer may end the county episode while another custodian continues detention.
Calhoun Archive Has Limits
The county has not promised an update cadence or archive-retention period for the released application. On August 2, 2026, research observed 170 rows across two pages and at least one release dated July 24, 2025. That dated result proves that older records were visible during the session. It does not create a guarantee that any row will remain for a set time.
The inmate application is served at a numeric HTTP address and uses a noindex directive. Ordinary search results may fail to reveal it. The county Adult Detention Center page supplies the provenance link, so it should remain the starting point when the direct host changes or appears unfamiliar.
A no-result can stem from spelling, an alternate booking identity, a date-window calculation, correction, system availability, sealing, expunction, or retention. Request the jail-management release record and search the lasting court docket rather than converting absence into a factual claim.
Calhoun Jail to ICE Custody
A Calhoun jail departure can be followed by ICE custody. These are two separate events with different dates and authorities. ICE’s current resource material says its locator may include some people released from ICE custody within 60 days, while the locator landing emphasizes present custody. Omissions and delays are possible, so no-result is inconclusive.
Likewise, a TDCJ transfer is not community release. A person who finishes a county sentence without entering state prison may never appear in TDCJ’s incarceration search. Read the Calhoun destination field first, then choose the custodian-specific system.
Note: No official source established a universal release time, exit door, weekend schedule, or property-return procedure for this facility.
