Information You Submit
Terms Entered in Search Tools
When a visitor enters a name, place, or other query into a search box, that query is sent to the third-party provider that operates the tool. Calhoun County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s handling of a query is controlled by its separate privacy practices.
Messages Sent to Us
If a visitor sends an email or uses an available contact form, we retain the message and reply details as needed to answer. We do not share that correspondence outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Like most websites, this site receives routine technical information when a page loads. That information can help diagnose a failure, understand site use, and keep the service working.
- The internet protocol address associated with the request
- The browser name and version in use
- The device category and operating system
- The pages visited and time spent on them
- The referring website, when a referrer is supplied
- The date and time recorded for the visit
Cookies and Browser Controls
Cookies may be used to understand how visitors move through the site and how features perform. A visitor can block or delete cookies through browser settings. Some functions or preferences may work differently when cookies are disabled.
How Information Supports the Site
Collected information is used only for operating and improving the service and for connecting visitors with tools they choose to use.
- Maintain reliable, responsive page delivery
- Send a search request to the selected partner service
- Measure which guides and pages visitors find useful
- Locate errors, security concerns, and other technical problems
- Present advertising that may be selected according to visitor interests
Links and Services Operated Elsewhere
The site links to Calhoun County release records, sheriff and court pages, Texas corrections systems, federal government portals, and third-party search services. Once a visitor follows an outbound link, the destination’s own privacy notice and terms govern its collection and use of information.
Advertising providers may use their systems to observe activity across more than one website and select interest-based advertising. That cross-site tracking occurs through the provider’s technology, not through a visitor profile maintained by Calhoun County Released Inmates.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Depending on the feature used and legal requirements, information may be handled by the following parties.
- Search partners that process a query submitted to their tool
- Analytics providers that measure website use and performance
- Advertising networks that deliver and assess advertisements
- Law-enforcement agencies or other governmental bodies acting under a valid legal order
Reasonable Security Measures
We use standard, reasonable practices intended to protect information under our control. No website, internet transmission, storage system, or security method is completely secure. We cannot promise that data will be immune from every unauthorized access, loss, or breach.
Visitors Younger Than 18
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a parent, guardian, or minor believes that a person under 18 submitted information, contact us and request its deletion.
Privacy Choices and Requests
Subject to applicable law and the information we actually hold, a visitor may make the following requests.
- Ask for a copy of personal data maintained about them
- Ask that inaccurate personal information be corrected
- Request deletion of personal information
- Opt out of certain processing where that option applies
A request may require enough information to confirm identity and locate the relevant data. These rights concern information held by this site. Requests about Calhoun County, TDCJ, BOP, ICE, or another linked agency must be directed to that record owner under its own rules, including the Texas Public Information Act in Government Code Chapter 552 where applicable.
Changes to This Notice
This privacy notice may be revised when site practices, services, or legal requirements change. The updated text will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and continued use after publication will be governed by the revised notice.
